Why do we keep coming back?
Dear Brian,

We have been taking our vehicles to Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive for over 10 years. We've had two Ford Explorers, a Volvo Sedan, a Nissan Maxima, and a Volkswagen Passat serviced by your shop. Why do we keep coming back and recommending your service to friends and family?
1. Your work is of high quality and the job is done right the first time. I can't think of a single time when we weren't pleased with the job.
2. Your prices are competitive for the work being done. Yes, we might be able to find another shop where we could save a dollar or two on the bill but we'd probably spend more in the long run.
3. Your staff recently fixed a problem with our Volkswagen that the local dealer couldn't find after three days. It was fixed completely in your shop by noon. Your staff is well trained and knowledgeable.
4. You have low staff turnover. Your staff has an opportunity to learn about the idiosyncrasies of our vehicles. Your shop must be a healthy place to work. As a customer we are very sensitive to how staff are treated.
5. Your shop goes the extra mile for youth in Fort Collins. As a customer we know our investment in your shop is an investment in our city. The dollars stay here.

Jim Dwyer and his employees have been servicing my families' cars and trucks for over ten years. Their customer service is by far the most accommodating and courteous I have ever experienced. Jim always has transportation available for my family and me should I choose not to wait for my car. I have received rides to the mall, the doctor, to work and home. Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive also has a beautiful new waiting room available for their customers with a television, phone, clean restrooms, and coffee and snacks area should they choose to wait. If I choose to wait for my automobile, Brian or someone in the service department is continually keeping me updated, assuring me that I am top priority.

Now that my children are grown and on their own, they too have chosen to take their automobiles to Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive. Last month I took my daughter's truck into the shop for an emissions test and an oil change. I showed up unexpectedly and without an appointment late in the day. Again, I was treated like I was the only customer even though they looked full to me. Brian Dwyer had my truck completed in less than 45 minutes. On my way to get my emissions sticker from the DMV, I noticed that the steering was loose and I called from my cell to see if they had time to check out my steering. Brian insisted that I bring it in immediately, explained the process, and arranged for a ride home. Brian called me the next afternoon to tell me the truck was ready. My daughter picked up the truck after work and Brian sent me a bill in the mail after he called to see if everything was working properly.

Thank You!!!!!!!!! With the holidays here, and just way too much stuff going on, the last thing I needed was a non-working driver's window. It broke at the post office while mailing Christmas cards. I called Jim. He says "no problem". Drop it off and we'll take care of it. There's my problem. I'm in a powered 3-wheeled cart and I can't just drop it off. I can't get into anyone's shuttle car, and, where would I put the cart? I have to be at work at 10:00 am. Jim says he'll pick up my car at work and bring it back when he's done. No problem. I said, ..."what???" Jim says "sure, why not?" Well that was about the nicest thing that has happened to me for a while. I couldn't believe it. I went to work, you picked it up, it got fixed, you brought it back. Nice, great, easy! What a burden lifted off my shoulders. How nice to know that the Spirit of Christmas works here in Fort Collins at Fort Collins Muffler. We are all blessed, a little bit more, because of you. I would like to thank Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive 2003 S. College Ave. for their excellent service this January. They fixed my car for free! When I complained to them that they "had to charge me!" their reply was that they "didn't put any parts in my car". They repaired a loose connection which took them at least thirty minutes to locate. A loose connection that cost my eight year old daughter and me a two mile walk in January in 20° weather. By the way - the last time Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive saw my car was last winter - so they did not cause the loose connection - but repaired it for free all the same.

Dear Sir,

I wanted to write this letter to extend my personal thanks and gratitude to you and your fine staff at Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive. On the morning of Friday June 30, 2000, I realized that the brakes on my car were screeching terribly. From the road, I called my secretary and asked that she make the quickest appointment possible to repair my brakes. She advised that Fort Collins Muffler could take me in without an appointment, while other establishments were estimating an appointment time wait of at least 4 hours. Upon arrival at your shop, I was informed that the brakes on my Ford Taurus were worn down to the metal. In short, I had my brakes repaired and car returned within 3 hours of my arrival at your establishment, without being charged an arm and a leg. What your staff was not aware of was that my family lives in Colorado Springs and I commute to the Springs on a weekly basis. I was afraid that I would not have the brakes repaired in time for me to get back to Colorado Springs this week and see my family. I'm grateful to you and your staff for the quick, courteous and prompt service that I received. In the future, I am going to see to it that all my future automotive repairs are first referred to your establishment. It would also be my pleasure to refer anyone that I know to your shop. Dear Mr. Dwyer:

A couple of years ago my neighbor, Bob Mawhiney, told me your firm was an honest place to do business, and that if I ever needed automotive work to consider using your company. I recently had that opportunity, and I was very pleased with the results. On July 3rd I was driving back from Boulder, and I heard my left rear brake scrape. The timing was terrible because we were leaving on the 6th for a driving vacation around Colorado. About 7 am on Friday, the 5th, I headed out for your place, hoping you would be open the day after the holiday. I arrived about 7:10 am, and Rod asked how he could help me. I told him what I thought the problem was, he had me back the car up a few feet while he listened, and he asked for "30 minutes to take a look and give you an estimate." I went for a walk, and 27 minutes later Rod called my cell phone with his diagnosis, and a price to repair my rear brakes. I gave him the approval, and he said he could have it done "in about an hour." I waited about 45 minutes, and thought I'd go to that park behind your business and read the paper. As I walked by your place Rod was just pulling the car into a parking space, and told me he was done. I paid the bill, and was home by 9 am. I was concerned I couldn't get the work done on such short notice, but Rod had me home before many people got to work that morning. I think he did a wonderful job, and I hope you'll thank him for me.
