Our Pricing Policy |
We strive to provide our customers with the overall lowest cost to maintain their cars. We may not give you the lowest price on a specific repair, but we will fix it the right way, using high quality replacement parts so you won't have to fix it again. Sometimes this means we will suggest correcting a problem before it breaks and is more expensive to fix, and sometimes it means we will use a higher quality replacement part than other shops. Cheap repairs using cheap parts don't save you any money if they have to be repaired again.
We offer free brake, exhaust and front end inspections and our diagnostic charges are very competitive. Our 3 or 4 master technicians have the experience and skill to diagnose your problems quickly and accurately, minimizing your diagnosis cost. We bill by the hour for repairs, maintenance and diagnosis, so our technician's skill and experience translate into savings for you. When you drop your car off for a diagnosis you can specify a maximum diagnosis cost, and our technician will stop at this point, and we will call you to discuss what we have found. Usually we can give a much more accurate estimate of time required to finish the diagnosis at this point if we haven't already finished.
Less scrupulous shops quote prices over the phone, but when the repair is done your final bill can be higher than expected because of "unforseen circumstances". Before one of our technicians has diagnosed your problem we really don't know what we will have to do to fix it, so we don't quote prices over the phone. We will ask you to bring in your car so we can diagnose the problem and then give you an accurate quote for the repair. We don't want to surprise you when you get the bill. We want you to be happy with our service so you will be a return customer for many years.
When we quote you a price for a repair or maintenance item, that is the price you will pay when we are done.
