Poudre High School baseball team |
Poudre High School Baseball - 2007
Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive
On behalf of the Poudre High School Baseball team, we would like to thank you for your generous donation of $550 and discount cards for the families. Local businesses like yours is what makes Fort Collins a great community.
With the hiring of a new baseball coach early last summer and a group of parents working together to help rebuild the baseball program, we were able to clean up the field, refurbish the dugouts and press box, upgrade the PA system, add padding around the backstop, and replace a good portion of the wind screen around the field. We were also able to replace a lot of old, worn out equipment and purchase new to help make the coach's job easier. Another highlight included being able to play a few night baseball games under the lights. This was very exciting for everyone involved.
With the new and improved dedication of the coaching staff and the new attitude towards the Poudre Baseball program, things are moving in the right direction. The school district has agreed to remove the old infield grass and some of the outfield grass and replace it with new grass as well as a new drainage and sprinkler system. It will make it difficult this summer as we will need to play many of our games "away" or on the JV field. But everyone in the program is looking forward to next spring and being able to use the new field.
The whole baseball program made giant strides this year, from the C Team to the Varsity. We improved our win/loss record greatly from previous years.
Once again, thank you for your support. We hope you will be willing to continue to support our program.
Sincerely,
Gene Ehrlich

Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame - 2007
Dear Jim,
Thank you for your generous contribution of $25 to the Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame. This event honors outstanding players and worthy volunteers with the proceeds going directly to tennis grants and scholarships.
Grants are provided to approved and established entry level tennis programs and to new programs for special populations and for juniors. Scholarships are awarded on a financial need basis to accomplished juniors for national tournament travel. Last year the Junior Tennis Foundation distributed approximately $112,721 in grants and scholarships. Each year your generosity allows us to add more players to the over a million reached by tennis programs aided with these funds.
Your support is appreciated,
Sincerely,
Robert J. Garry

Dear Brian:
On behalf of Turning Point Center for Youth

our collective appreciation for the responsiveness
of the shop in meeting our repair needs.
While our fleet is not huge our need for

Additionally I appreciate your willingness

Agency on vehicles that are donated or vehicles

Fort Collins Women's Youth Rugby Team
Dear Rugby Fan,
The season has come to a close and now is the time to recognize our sponsors. Thank you for supporting the Fort Collins Women's Youth Rugby Team. Your contribution helped our team accomplish amazing feats.
This year was the first year any of us had ever touched a rugby ball. But with hard work, dedication (and a lot of donated money!) We have become champions! This season we have:
* Ended the season with a 14-2 record
*
Had 9 shut-out victories
* Won the State Rugby Championship
* Took 2nd in the Western Regional Tournament
* Qualified for the National Championship Tournament in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
* Won the National Championship Tournament!
Alone with our team accomplishments, we had five members of our team voted to the All-American Team.
All this could not have been accomplished without the support of our families, fans, and generous sponsors like yourselves. Thank you once again from the whole team and coaching staff.
Sincerely,
Meghan Obermann

Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation - 2007
Dear James,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Scientific Advisors and volunteers of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, we extend our deepest condolences for the loss of Rodney L. Person. We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness during this difficult time and offer you our heartfelt thank you for your donation of $100 received on April 20, 2007. The generosity of our donors is vital as we continue our efforts to urgently and aggressively invest in research that will lead to a cure.
Thanks to the kindness of donors like you, the MMRF has raised more that $70 million to support lifesaving myeloma research. We have seen three new treatments since we opened our door when it usually takes more than 10 years to bring a single drug to market. And today, we are currently funding more than 25 promising new compounds and therapeutic approaches that show promise in treating patients as all stages of the disease.
As good stewards of your donation, the MMRF devotes an outstanding 95 cents of every dollar raised to research, making the MMRF one of the most efficient and effective charities in the country. Our commitment to fiscal responsibility is truly unmatched, as evidenced by the following accreditations:
• A "Best in America" Seal of Excellence from the Independent Charities of America
• A Four-Star rating by Charity Navigator
• An A+ rating by the American Institute of Philanthropy
• Compliance with all of the Better Business Bureau's (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability
As the world's only organization to have achieved these accreditations, you can be sure your donation is wisely invested in research that is certain to make a real difference in the lives of thousands of myeloma patients.
Thank you again for your support of the MMRF. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,

CSU College of Veterinary Medicine - 2004-5
Dear Sir or Madam,
The Colorado State University Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (SCAAEP) is a club within the College of Veterinary Medicine that is dedicated to helping those students interested in a career in the equine veterinary field obtain invaluable experience and knowledge above the standard curriculum currently offered in veterinary school.
The club is able to achieve this goal through many events planned each year to help these students get the most out of their education. The club organizes many lectures by nationally known speakers, hands-on wet labs, two-day short-courses, and helps send as many members as possible to the annual American Association of Equine Practitioners National Convention to be held in Seattle, WA this year. Attending the annual convention gives members the opportunity to meet with leaders in the profession, attend lectures on recent research and cutting edge topics, and to explore the many avenues available to them in the future.
The club raises the money needed for these various events through fund-raising events throughout the year. The chapter is holding our annual Breeder's Cup Party on Saturday, October 29th from 12pm to 5pm. The fundraiser will feature a silent auction and door prizes. This year's fundraiser will be held inside Manno's Restaurant at Collindale Golf Course. This event helps us to raise money needed to help our members obtain these unique opportunities. It is only with generous donations that we are able to achieve this goal. We greatly appreciate any donations that we receive and would like to thank you in advance for you time and consideration. All donations are tax deductible and if our tax ID number is needed, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Chris Huth, PVM 2007

Kristi Visocky Memorial Tournament - 2005
On behalf of the Kristi Visocky family, we want to thank you for your generous donation to the 3rd Annual Kristi Visocky Memorial Golf Tournament and Kristi's Big Night Out Event.
Over 400 people attended the Friday night Kristi's Big Night Out party, enjoying great food from area restaurants and dynamic music by After the Fire. This year, 284 golfers participated in the Sunday Golf Tournament, making it the largest tournament in Northern Colorado.
Through this wonderful outpouring of community support we were able to raise over $27,000 for the Kristi Visocky Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year we awarded scholarships to four deserving young women as they continue their education and work to make a better life for themselves. All of these women have overcome tremendous obstacles and are on the path to a more promising future. In addition, $3000 was awarded to the Center for Community Justice, a program that works with at risk youth. You have helped to make that possible.
Because of your generosity, the fund will be able to assist even more young people next year. Again, thank you for your contribution, support and kindness.
God Bless,
The Visocky Family
Thanks Jim & Brian for your generous support. You are special people.

Thank You
Fort Collins Rugby Girls would like to thank you for helping
us to make the trip to the National Championships in Kansas
City, Missouri a success. In the first round we competed against
Divine Savior Holy Angels from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in
a close match came out victorious 19-17. In the semifinals
we played Lincoln High School from Tacoma, Washington and won
this match 17-0. On Sunday for the National Championship we
played Luther Burbank High School from Sacramento, California.
This team was a much bigger team than us but we played hard
and hit low and at half-time was up 7-0. In the second half
the match still showed much defense with both teams turning
each other away from scoring. Finally with 10 minutes to go
in the match Luther scored to make it 7-5. Defense continued
with Fort Collins turning away several more attempts by Luther
to score until with 2 minutes to go in the match they were
able to push it in and take a 10-7 lead. Fort Collins fought
hard to get back into the match but time ran out and Luther
became the National Championships.
We are proud of our 2nd place in the National
Championship and know it wouldn't have been
possible without your help and once again
want to Thank You for helping us to pursue
a chance at the National Championship. We
represented Fort Collins in a positive manner
and had many compliments on our sportsmanship
and clean play. We hope that you will be
as proud of us as we are for bringing home
a 2nd place at the National Championships
in Kansas City, Missouri.
Thank You Again,

The Prestidigitators/Magic in the Rockies
Brian,
Thank You for Your Help!
Thank you for your donation of fifty dollars
($50) to the Presto-Digitators. Your contribution
and the contributions of other area business
people enabled the Presto-Digitators to
give tickets to our recent Magic in the
Rockies Public Show (September 9, 2000)
to CRISP (Creative Recreation in Special
Populations). CRISP works with agencies
such as: the Boys and Girls Club of Larimer
County, Partners, Foothills Gateway, Crossroads
Safehouse, and Turning Point, among others.
Many of the people in the special populations
who are helped through these agencies were
able to attend and enjoy the magic show
at the Lincoln Center thanks to your generosity.
Your contribution also allowed our club to present, "Kids
Performing for Kids," a magic show where the performers are
kids from around the state and the audience is made up of
approximately 1,000 students from the Poudre School District.
Through your generosity, this show was presented, free of
charge, on September 8, 2000, to the students and to the school
district.

are affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Magicians
(IBM) as Ring 250.

Dear Brian,
Thank you so much for the hockey goals!! Our students are going
to love them when it's time to play floor hockey in the winter.
It was nice enough to donate the extra goal that you already
had, but to go through the trouble of making a new one is one
of the most generous deeds I've ever witnessed! It might not
seem like a big deal to have "real" goals instead of cones,
but it will make the kids feel like they are playing on a big
time rink now. Anyway, myself and the students of O'Dea Elementary
thank you and your family for your donation.

Centennial Bass Club of N. Colorado -2006
Dear Sponsor,
Centennial Bass Club of Northern Colorado is organizing our annual Full Moon Open Night Buddy Bass Tournament at Horsetooth Reservoir in Ft. Collins July 8, 2006. Our organization began this tournament 6 years ago and it has been very successful. In the past we have held it at Pueblo Reservoir, but with the renovation of Horsetooth Reservoir we are now having the competition here (our home waters). We are in need of sponsors to help us with donations for the tournament. Donations assist our club with Kids competitions and events. Every year we organize fishing events for kids in Northern Colorado such as take a kid fishing day and CAST, Catch A Special Thrill, (CAST is an event where many BASS fisherman get together and take kids fishing who may be disabled or disadvantaged, and don't get normally get to fish). We also assist with many habitat renovations around local communities. Recently our club assisted with the Horsetooth renovation, and Sheldon Lake Project in Ft. Collins.
Thank you so much for your time and support. If you have any further questions you may reach me at 970-493-2106.

Turning Point - 2005
Dear Jim,
On behalf of Turning Point Center for Youth and Family Development, I'd like to thank you for your generous cash donation of $100. We would like to share with you some of our accomplishments of the past year.
There's been a lot going on -- it's hard to know where to begin. Most important, we are proud of out clients-- who are doing well back in their communities. Our follow-up calls give them long-term support and show that the vast majority of our former clients are working or in school. We are proud of our quality programs and services for youth and their families. In fact, we were named the Colorado Juvenile Council's "Agency of the Year" for the second year in a row! We have made significant changes to our programs, including buying two additional buildings to meet growing demands for youth services and to meet new federal education requirements. One of these buildings is in Greeley, where we are now providing much-needed services.
Thank you again for your generous contribution to Turning Point.
Sincerely,
Lilias Jarding

The wide assortment of items created an engaging time of active bidding throughout the evening of June 10th. Your generosity is truly appreciated by DRS staff and our Board of Directors.
This year's Wine Fest raised nearly $33,000 due in part to supporters like you. The proceeds will be used to provide a variety of services to help people with disabilities live as independently as possible and improve the quality of their lives. Our agency will continue to respond to consumer requests for services using Wine Fest's profit to address their needs in 2005-2006, thanks to you.
In recognition of your contribution to Wine Fest, you were listed in the Silent Auction Donors section of the wine tasting program booklets to publicly recognize your support. We are most grateful to you and extend our heartfelt appreciation and look forward to your participation again in 2006!
With gratitude,
Nancy R. Jackson

Magic in the Rockies Public Show - 2004
Dear Brian,
Thanks to your support last year of a $100 contribution, together with the support of others such as yourself, we were able to infuse the local economy with approximately $200,000 (see attached article from the Fort Collins Coloradoan) through the 10th annual Magic in the Rockies magic convention. Nearly 300 magicians visited Fort Collins (and many brought their families) for this convention and more than 1100 people attended the Saturday night Public Magic Show at the Lincoln Center. In addition to the economic impact of the convention and the Public Show, your contribution allowed us to offer complimentary tickets to the magic show to underprivileged and disabled individuals in our community.
Magically yours,
Lew Wymisner
Convention Coordinator

Bear Hollow Pottery - 2004
Mr. Brian Dwyer,
I have received a check from you covering my expenses from Castaneda's Auto and Truck Repair Inc. This was a very generous offer from you to resolve the widely differing opinions on my trucks breaking problems.
I am now convinced that you, as a business owner, are striving to maintain a high standard of business ethics. Changes we discussed hopefully will pressure the high esteem of your business held by my friend Gene Millard and Ralph Castaneda.
A good reputation is hard earned, yet easily tarnished. You personally, by you action, have gained my respect.

Turning Point - 2004
Dear Jim:
At Turning Point Center for Youth and Family Development, we turn lives around. But we couldn't do it without the help of you and our many other business donors. To recognize your contribution to high-risk youth, we've printed the enclosed brochure. We hope that, by distributing this brochure, we can not only thank you more effectively -- but can also encourage other businesses to support our programs and help Colorado youth turn away from a life of drugs, gangs, and crime and become productive members of society.
Your donation to Turning Point is an investment in a safe, high-quality, cohesive community. Because public funds cover only a portion of our award-winning programs, we rely on business and individual donors. And in the long run, your donation helps decrease the need for both public and private spending. Providing early intervention and treatment for adolescents has proved time and again to cut future health care and insurance costs, reduce involvement with law enforcement, and reduce reliance on social services.
If you would like additional copies of this brochure or other Turning Point information to pass along to your friends and customers, please let me know. In addition, pleas let me know of any opportunities to speak with your employees, civic groups, or service clubs about Turning Point and our programs.
Thanks again for your support. It is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
James Becker, Executive Director |

On behalf of The Guardian Guild and Littlest Angels International we would like to thank you for your contribution. Your generosity has and will touch the lives of many.
We feel we are so fortunate to be surrounded by encouraging, kind and giving people. Your support adds so much to the lives of families making each adoption more meaningful. The greatest comfort is the knowledge that we are surrounded by the support of people and the many wonderful organizations in our community.
Sincerely,
Cindy Sarai, Director of Adoptions
